CompuLaw Vision™ Announces
Vision Sync for BlackBerry®
LOS ANGELES – August 24, 2005 - CompuLaw LLC, publisher of calendar/docket
software with built-in court rules databases, announced today that it
has joined the BlackBerry Alliance Program to allow legal professionals
the ability to synchronize their Vision calendar items with BlackBerry®,
developed by Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM), through Microsoft
Exchange server and BlackBerry Enterprise Server™.
“The Vision Sync for Exchange application, released earlier this year,
allows customers to synchronize their Vision calendars directly with Exchange,
offering firms central installation, time savings, detailed activity logs,
easy setup and maintenance and the latest technology available,” said
David J. Kalmick, president and CEO of CompuLaw. “Our support for BlackBerry
will allow users to take our functionality to the next level, offering a convenient,
wireless court calendaring alternative for legal professionals on the go.”
Vision is CompuLaw’s trusted calendar/docket software that enables
attorneys to automatically schedule critical dates in accordance with
court rules, greatly reducing the possibility of missing deadlines through
error-prone and time-consuming manual docket calculations. Vision software
also eliminates manual tracking, thereby reducing the need to increase
staff as the practice grows, which reduces overhead.
A full-featured 32-bit application for Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 and XP,
Vision is also available in MS SQL and MSDE versions. The Web Portal
uses Internet/Intranet technology to provide users with around-the-clock
access to their schedules from any location, via their Web browsers.
The BlackBerry ISV Alliance program is designed to foster the development
of third party applications and services that extend the BlackBerry experience
beyond wireless email. RIM supports its partners in various ways including
providing product and development resources, offering marketing and sales
opportunities and training.
