CompuLaw Releases CompuLaw Collaborate
Compulaw vision web portal now integrates with microsoft office sharepoint 2007 server
LOS ANGELES – June 24, 2008 – CompuLaw LLC, publisher of calendar/docket matter management software with built-in court rules databases, announces the release of CompuLaw Collaborate™, a new web part component which integrates Vision Web Portal™ with the Microsoft® Office SharePoint® Server. This integration allows Web Portal’s popular Event List feature to be incorporated into any SharePoint 2007 Web site, creating an Event List Web Part that will provide law firms with direct access to critical information on all events related to a specific client, matter, attorney, team or department. The Event List Web Part is the first of a series of web parts scheduled for release.
“We are pleased to now offer law firms using Microsoft SharePoint 2007 Servers a convenient, portal-based access point for attorney collaboration on all legal calendaring event list information,” said David Kalmick, president and CEO of CompuLaw, LLC. “For visual consistency, the Event List Web Part blends with the law firm’s existing Web site themes. Users can click on any event to read further details, including information about the document entry associated with that event. In addition, because of its easy set-up, law firms can have Vision events appear on any of their SharePoint sites in only minutes.”
Law firms can filter or customize their portal Event List Web Part by a number of criteria, including client, matter, attorney, department, team, date range, options to include/exclude “To Do” items/completed events/recurring events, and events for the attorney viewing the page. Using the above settings, the firm can display a list of Vision events on a page that is designed for a specific client, matter, attorney, team or department.
The CompuLaw Web Portal provides Vision users with around-the-clock access to their schedules and other pertinent calendaring information from any location, via their individual Web browsers. Users can access their calendar/docket data remotely, from their office, hotel or home, though the Internet. Web Portal 3.3, CompuLaw’s latest release, also includes the How was this date calculated? feature, providing a quick and simple way for legal professionals to identify each step of CompuLaw’s date calculation process, utilizing an easy-to-understand and colorful graphical user interface.
