CompuLaw Launches Customer Users’ Group Series LOS ANGELES – June 30, 2005 - CompuLaw LLC, the leading publisher of calendar/docket software with built-in court rules databases, has launched a series of Customer Users’ Group events to provide an interactive forum on a wide variety of topics, including tips, questions, upcoming feature enhancements, news and opinions about CompuLaw software and services. Group participants are given the opportunity to view demonstrations of new features available in CompuLaw Vision™ 8.77 software as well as Vision 9.0, expected to be released Q3 2005. All Users’ Group events are initiated and organized by CompuLaw Vision customers. Recently, a Users’ Group event led by Bill Makinney, Firm-Wide Calendar/Docket Manager at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, LLP, was held in San Francisco with more than 30 legal professionals in attendance. “There is nothing like strength in numbers,” said Makinney. “With participating law firm personnel from San Francisco, Alameda, Marin and Contra Costa counties, it can hardly be called a simple San Francisco User Group anymore. Through email exchanges and regular meetings, often with the assistance of CompuLaw specialists, the group has really flourished. These user group meetings offer the ultimate in participation. Being able to share experiences and receive valuable feedback from CompuLaw real-time, has really been a unique benefit for the members.” Additional San Francisco events are scheduled for August 3 and November 2. Diane Gates, Manager of Information Resources - Records & Docket at Latham & Watkins LLP, hosted the first meeting of the Downtown Los Angeles CompuLaw Users’ Group in April 2005. “Attendance at the meeting was even better than we had hoped,” said Gates. “This is a great opportunity to talk with other people who use CompuLaw about best practices, see what is new and what is under development for the product, and to have an opportunity to ask questions, as well as make suggestions for enhancements.” The CompuLaw Users’ Group events allow current customers to network with peers and share strategies for successfully implementing their calendaring programs from an end-user’s standpoint. CompuLaw customers interested in hosting an event in their area should contact Larry Crāpo, Vice President of Sales & Business Development, at (800) 444-0020 or lcrapo@compulaw.com. CompuLaw also offers an online forum designed to enhance communications between users. CompuLaw Discussion Groups provide customers with the opportunity to respond to comments, suggestions and questions via email. This forum also serves as an educational resource for legal professionals, including posted white papers, case studies and other articles of interest.
